Our Eventide Home operates under the oversight of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation of Lethbridge. The board of Eventide is chosen by the members, and is involved in the daily operations of the Home.

Eventide Home is governed by its Mission, Vision, and Values, but more importantly, by God’s Word. The reformed principles will be our guide in the care and compassion shown to our residents and staff.

It is our goal to have a home that will emulate an atmosphere to which our residents are accustomed to. Our purpose is to help with the daily needs of our seniors as they grow older and frailer. It is our desire, as much as possible, to provide care to end of life.

Mission

The mission of Eventide Home is to provide quality assisted living and health care to the elderly and/or those at risk in our church communities in a reformed Christian environment governed by the Word of God.

Vision

We envision our care home to:

• Be a homelike, Christian environment, designed to reflect a non-medical model without compromising the ability to provide quality health care
• Create and provide an environment for caregivers to see themselves as working in the home of the elderly rather than theelderly being residents in the caregiver’s workplace;
• Provide an environment of personal choice, enhancing personal independence and freedom of movement while maintaining safety  and security;
• Support an environment where all residents may live with dignity, have a sense of belonging and be treated with respect;
• Maintain a culture where the resident’s privacy will not be compromised; and
• Make every reasonable effort to address loneliness, helplessness, and boredom through:
  • Loving companionship with relatives and friends who share and understand their Christian beliefs, heritage and culture,
  • Providing opportunities for our residents to engage in meaningful activities.
  • Organizing activities, outings, excursions and other forms of recreation,
  • Creating an environment where there is ample opportunity to connect with nature and children; and
  • Encouraging residents and their families to make their own decisions, wherever opportunities reasonably allow.
